The Trainer
Dr James Tweedie, GeoMEM’s director and principal trainer is a geologist with experience in both the academic / research environment and in metals / mineral exploration. He founded GeoMEM in 1985 to develop geological software for the exploration and mining industry.
James is a professional member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Analysts and Programmers.
Course Format:
OnSite - GeoMEM provides onsite training at your premises in the UK, Ireland and parts of Europe. Up to a maximum of 8 delegates. Normally one to two days, depending on requirements.
OffSite - GeoMEM can provide tailored courses from our own premises near Dundee, Scotland for a maximum of 2 delegates. One day.
Online - One to one online training using the telephone and mirroring software so that you and the trainer both see the same screen. Best suited to a specific aspect of a software package, rather than as a general. One to two hours per session.

Advanced course covering programming Surfer using the inbuilt Visual Basic scripting language. Allows you to make use of powerful features to customise Surfer to your requirements.

MultiSmart* borehole surveying course
Learn to use MultiSmart* for running Single Shot and Multi-Shot surveys. Processing data and displaying, analysing and interpreting the results. Includes in-depth training on the SeeIT, MeasureIT and DisplayIT software. Learn the tricks and short cuts from the people that designed and developed the software and become more productive.

* GeoMEM developed both the Accreditation and Customer training courses for the MultiSmart system. The MultiSmart survey instrument was originally developed and supplied by FlexIT (Sweden). At present, it is suported by Reflex Instruments. GeoMEM offer the ONLY independent training courses for this instrument.
GeoMEMs REFLEX SProcess course
Learn to use the REFLEX SProcess application for processing survey data files generated by various REFLEX survey systems.

Pre-requisites
All courses assume a good working familiarity with Windows and Windows applications and working with files and folders.
For the borehole surveying software courses it is also assumed that the attendees are familiar with the terminology and practises of borehole surveying.
