Ordering from GeoMEM

Placing your order

You can place an order with GeoMEM using one of the following methods:

  • By phone on: 01382 329 011 or 0330 220 1331. We accept orders paid by credit and debit card over the phone.
  • Written orders (fax or letter). We accept both credit / debit cards and official orders.

Quotations and ProForma invoices

We are happy to provide you with a Quotation or a Pro-Forma invoice for any quantity and selection of software before you make an order. Please contact us by phone, fax or email

We can often offer discounts on combined or multiple licence orders so please contact us for a quotation. The on-line prices should be used only as a guideline.

Educational / Academic / Teaching discounts

We offer educational/teaching discounts when these are available from a supplier. The exact level of, and terms for, the discount depend on the publisher and therefore we have separate pricing for educational institutions defined as institutions whose primary purpose is to educate, or carry out research as part of education). Please ask GeoMEM about your specific requirements and applicable educational pricing.


PRE-PAYMENT: By Cheque (with order) or direct BACS transfer

We accept pre-payment by cheque with order or by electronic BACS transfer.

We will provide a pro-forma invoice upon request.


On 30 day invoice

At our discretion we may provide a maximum of 30 day credit facilities to approved customers in the UK and Ireland who guarantee a minimum annual spend with GeoMEM.

We will not provide credit facilities beyond 30 days (GeoMEM are not operating as a Bank) nor to organisations outside the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland.

Credit facilities are not available for certain products. This includes all Rockware products and all DEVICO products. A full list of excluded supplies is available for GeoMEM upon request.

Please contact James Tweedie at GeoMEM (by email or phone) to request a Credit Facility application form. Please allow 2 weeks for processing the application.

All credit orders must be in writing (fax or letter) on an official order form or letterhead with an official purchase number. We will accept orders for invoice over the phone (with an order number) when they are immediately followed up with a written order. In all orders GeoMEMs Terms and Conditions take precedence.

All written orders must specifically state that payment will be made by the purchaser within 30 days of the invoice date.

GeoMEM supports, and abides by, the Pay On Time guidelines based on the "late payment of commercial debts (interest) Act 1998, as amended and supplemented by the late payment of commercial debts regulations 2002" (Explanatory document - pdf) We support paying on time


Acceptance of any order other than pre-paid (credit/debit card or cheque with order) is entirely at the discretion of GeoMEM.

VAT (Value Added Tax)

  • United Kingdom customers:
    VAT is charged at the current UK rate unless you can provide GeoMEM with a VAT Exemption certificate.
  • European Community customers without a National VAT number:
    VAT is charged at the current UK rate.
  • European Community customers with a National VAT number:
    VAT will not be charged. You must provide us with your National VAT number at the time of ordering.
  • Non UK and EC customers:
    VAT is not charged.

Packing and Delivery charges

In Stock items are usually dispatched on the day of ordering (depending on the time of ordering). This means you usually receive them with two working days (Monday to Friday delivery) of making your order.

Non-stock items are normally dispatched within 7 working days of receipt of your order. Some third party software may require longer but is normally dispatched within 14 days of receipt of an order.

Electronic delivery: We can also deliver some software electronically or you can download it and "unlock" it after GeoMEM has received payment. Physical media (if required) can be sent to you later.

At the time of ordering you are advised of the likely dispatch date.

If there is any delay beyond the quoted date you will be advised in writing (usually by fax or email).
